Hey

and im wanting to get laser mole removal, but im just curious on how exactly is it done? anyone had one removed before? and how long does it take?
thanks guys! :)Laser mole removal?
You should first go to see your dermatologist.
However, here are the procedures:
1) Numb cream is placed onto the mole for around 30mins
2) Your dermatologist/whoever uses a laser and zaps the pigment away.
3) After it is removed, they will give you specific information on how to take care of it.
It is not very painful, and if it is, you may get an anti-pain injection so it won't hurt :) As well, you will be given goggles, so you won't see the procedure (believe me, you don't want to)
One mole takes approximately 15 mins, but it really depends on the size and depth of it.
If it is a large mole, laser removal may not be the best or first choice. A large mole would probably be better treated by excision and if necessary, a small stitch placed. This treatment is very effective and only leaves a very small scar.
