My eye is red??

i wear contacts byt when I took them off I noticed that my eye got red all over and around the colored part, any idea what this is?My eye is red??
Could be anything. Tired eyes can be red. You could have had dust, or dirt on your fingers when removing your contact. Hairspray or perfume can also irritate eyes. Flush your eyes with eye drops and see if that helps. If it doesn't clear up, see your eye doc.
Maybe pinkeye, it is HIGHLY contagious. Maybe the bacteria got on your finger and got to your eye when you put in your contacts, otherwise talk to your optometrist.

It could be a reaction to the cleaning solution. Is it expired or recalled? Pink eye is common in contact users. Old eye makeup should be thrown out since it's often a source of infection.
It may be pink eye, aka conjunctivitis, I know people from CA to PA that have gotten it recently for some reason. Highly contagious, easy to get rid of if you visit the good ol' doctor...

It could be a lot of things. Pick eye or red eye (as others have mentioned), an infection, tiredness, maybe you got something stuck in your eye, old contacts, or allergies to the contact solution. I had been wearing contacts for about 6 months when all of a sudden my eyes started getting very red every time I wore contacts, so I switched solution, and my eyes were fine again.
