Mt son-in-law has occurances of bad migraines has had nerve shots in head and neck .relief is short term?

i went through a whole series of drugs, but the only thing i've found that worked for me was topamax - it has some nasty side effects, but they do pass eventually, and it's so worth it.
sit your self in a darkened room on the floor cover your eyes with a heavy scarf or bandage,then cross your legs and think about the good things in life for you give it about an hour it should help.the more you do it the shorter the time you have to.my mother had migraine and it did help her.good luck...
