Left ear hurts when I inhale from my nose only?

It just started a few hours ago. I'm gonna go to the doctor tomorrow, but I was just curious.what could it be?
BTW...I have a sinus problem, I also have a deviated septum.Left ear hurts when I inhale from my nose only?
its either a sinus infection or an inner ear infection.
It definitely could be a sinus problem. If you have some sinus drainage, it could burn from your nostril to your ear.
the ears nose and sinuses are all one system, so the pressure from inhaling will sometimes cause pain if there is another problem, it may be an ear infection, or something like it.
There is likely more of a "negative pressure" generated if you breath through an obstructed nose compared to breathing through your mouth. This pressure can be transmitted to the eardrum through the eustacian tube, which stretches the eardrum, which hurts, especially if the eardrum is inflamed.
Could be an inner ear infection or a "swimmers ear" or external ear infection. Does your ear hurt when you pull on your ear lobe? If so its probably an external ear. Have you been pinching your nostrils and blowing through your nose to clear your ears? This is called the valsalva manuever. If so, this can cause ear pain. If your sinusus are bothering you I would take an over the counter like Tylenol Sinus. It will help with the pain and dry your sinuses. Hope this helps. Good luck.
