is it bad to take medicine when you dont need it?
like taking cold medicine..but dont have a cold?Medicine??
Yes, it is also stupid. I just read the other day about a 15 year old boy that drank nyquil, and some other cough syrup and he died.
Depends. If i took the recommend amount of cough medicine I'd probably be asleep in 20 minutes. But one time my sisters boyfriend drank 3 bottles of Nyquil to get high and he had to get his stomach pumped. Says he felt like a peanut. and i bet that isn't fun.
Yep. There are all sorts of medicinal drugs for a simple cold. Actually the very best medicine for a cold is Rest! it's caused by a virus, could be any flu virus. It attacks you when your condition is weak. There isn't a better cure for a cold than a rest.
A nice hot chocolate will help soothe your sore throat (if you have any) and make you feel better.
For that 'ill, uncomfortable' feeling you get when you woke up in the first of morning, it can be prodromal symptoms (symptoms before a disease fully blown appears). Try to get some rest. If it persists and evolved into something like sneezes, sore throat, headaches, muscle aches. it can be a simple cold or something else. Again, if it persists for more than 3 days or you develop fever or worsen over the days. it's better to call your doctor for a check up
hope it helps
You should not take medication if you don't have a symptom. Many medications can cause side effects. Why risk the disadvantages of medications when you do not need the benefits?
