Knee pains from dancing?

so i've been dancing fer a long time
but i started a dance class about 2 months ago
& my right knee has been hurting
& it pretty much wont just disapear over night.
whats the deal?
also i'm a hip hop dancer.
& does this have anything to do w/ my problem? -
whenever i bend down to like sit er w/e my knees crack, always. but thats just normal right? this has been happening way b4 this lil prob of mineKnee pains from dancing?
Maybe your shoes aren't giving your feet enough support. do you wear any type of orthodics or shoe inserts?... do you wear good supportive shoes? I have a similar problem caused by not wearing good shoes and playing tennis, and my arch started to collapse and causes a lot of pain to my knees and hips. Maybe you shoe consult a chiropractor.
