Low body fat cause colds?

Hi, I recently recovered from a really bad cold (about 2 weeks ago) and i seem to have cought another one, luckly not as bad as the first one. I was talking to my biology teacher about it and he said that because i workout; alot 3-4 times a week and have a low percentage of body fat i am more vonurable to colds. I always thought that if you workout you are less likely to get colds?Low body fat cause colds?
While low body fat may be a factor, I highly doubt it is the most significant one. The most important factor, on the other hand, is exposure. I, for one, do not consider myself "fat," although I could probably stand to lose weight, yet I rarely get colds and the ones I get are subclinical at most (so mild that they're little more than a sore throat and a half-stuffy nose for a few days). You see, the fact that you have a biology teacher indicates to me that you must also have a biology class (duh) in which there are students with whom you interact. When I went to school with thousands of people, I too found myself the victim of at least 3 colds every year, and even as a young child at home with my mother all day I'd gotten a steady 2 per winter due to my exposure to cousins and neighbors who went to daycare. However, now that I live pretty much my whole life here in this virtual world of Avatars and points, I am almost never sick with colds (I've only had one very mild one this year and it was right after I got suspended the first time). So yes, low body fat could very well be a factor, but by far it is exposure that is the most important.
hmm well skinny people i know get cold easily? and since you dont have alot of fat, you dont have that to protect you and such.
I have low body fat , and I never get sick. Maybe you need to take more Vitamin C. I take 1000 mgs twice a day.:)
